It's normal for some urine to leak onto a tampon, especially if it's not inserted correctly or if it's too full. You can try to insert the tampon more deeply or to change it more often. If you're still having problems, talk to your doctor.

Not far enough in? You should only be able to see the string. Check the usage instructions (and be very careful not to put a second one in by accident, you can end up with sepsis).

Sounds like you’re using to high of an absorbency since it’s uncomfortable. If you’re using the “regular” size, switch to the ones that say “light” on the box.

the string will of course get wet due to gravity. the tampon itself if correctly inserted will not have pee on it.
