I’m 16 and I’m 28D and I wish they were bigger. theyre the only part of me that I hate. I know there’s no point in comparing myself to others and that it’s bad but I can’t help but feel a bit insecure bc a lot of girls at my school r bigger and I feel left behind

Please keep in mind that a LOT of girls wear padded bras. It makes it look like their boobs are bigger and fuller when they aren’t actually. Don’t compare yourself to an illusion, also it is okay to have smaller or bigger as different sizes look better on different people and there will always be people who attracted from little to big.

She likely has a 28 inch underbust and 32 inch bust - which is a 28D.

No, it doesn't sit 4 inches off the ribcage, that's a misconception. Think about it, cup size is calculated from the difference in inches between your underbust and bust. Those are not two flat measurements, they are two CIRCUMFERENCE measurements. You have two breasts and your body is going to be slightly wider up higher (at the bust) than lower (at the underbust) - so when you account for that, a D cup is going to be less than 2 inches of projection per boob. Probably 1.5/1.75 inches of projection. And on smaller frames, this is going to look smaller. Zendaya's 28D would look a lot smaller than a 38D. If you made a 4 inch tall sandcastle on a base 6 inches in diameter, it's going to need a lot less sand than a sandcastle of the same height but on a base 16 inches in diameter.

@softlyautumnal Okay. I can accept what you're saying as true, but in order for me to do that, I need to see/hear some rational basis for your claim that Zendaya has a 28-inch underbust measurement. Nothing I've read suggests that that is true.

Her waist measurement is no more than 25 inches. Just looking at her will tell you that. I'm a similar build to her and I have a 23 inch waist, but I'm much shorter, 5'2. She is quite tall. Most women have a difference of 1-3 inches between their waist and underbust, unless they have an extreme hourglass figure. So 25+3 is 28. She could even be a 26 underbust.

Nothing you've read suggests that is true because there is a measuring method called the +4 method which is incorrect but unfortunately very prevalent. It tells people to add 4/5 inches to their underbust to get their band size, which is incorrect and just used to squeeze more people into narrow size ranges and make more money. It puts people who are 26 bands into 30 (sometimes even 32) bands, people with 28 inch underbusts into 32 bands (sometimes even 34) and so on. So when you see '32B' written online for Zendaya - remember that they have +4'd her. 32 - 4 = 28.
