Why do people vape? Is vaping not as harmful as smoking cigarettes?

Ok so I have done both before one with a cigarette and a few with a vape not cause I was addicted or anything just to try it firstly cigarette smell horrible also you can’t hide it well vs a vape it smells good and it’s easy to hide what you doing that’s the main reason I can think of as to why people vape instead of cigarettes

Well... Why does anyone become addicted to anything? It's because their mind becomes dependent on it in a certain way.

And I have no idea on if it's more or less harmful. Maybe it's more immediately harmful?

There are no definitive long-term studies on it yet, but you're still putting chemicals in your lungs and body that have no business being there. How can that be good for you?

Right! What’s the point of quitting smoking but still vaping? I don’t get it.

I bet that in the future it will end up that vaping is worse than smoking. I think it looks stupid. At least smoking looked sort of cool.
