Is cannabis safe during pregnancy?

I’ve had many friends smoke to relieve pain and nausea throughout their pregnancies, and their babies all turned out fine, but when I search this on google, it tells me it’s not safe? I think it’s because it’s still considered to be an illegal product in most countries. Thoughts? Im not talking about chronic smoking, or being high 24/7. Im just meaning having a small joint each night, or every few days to help relieve some horrible pregnancy symptoms.

Everything you consume the baby consumes as well.

And Cannabis is still a drug, which has severe effects on the brain development.

So you may be lucky and no damage is done, but i wouldn't take the risk.

Same for all other drugs. Alcohol, Tobacco, as well as those pills you get from the pharmacy (Sleeping pills, painkillers, ...)

If you must take something ask your doctor, and not some random people on the internet.

Sorry, I wasn’t meaning that everyone has the same experience. I’m only basing it on the people around me irl. Hence why I’m asking here, to get a better insight, since google results can often be misleading.

By your answer, I take it that you do not believe that it’s safe?

Its shown to not be safe.
My grandparents used to help foster kids, and were "specialists" in babies who came out addicted to drugs. It's not pretty.

Babies can come out addicted to cannabis? I haven’t heard that before. I’ve mostly only heard of alcohol syndrome and meth and heroine babies. I learn something new everyday.

Nope, cannabis is not safe for you. Daily usage during pregnancy is likely to leave your child with a cannabis addiction.

She’s on leave at the moment so I can’t get in contact with her, I’m definitely waiting for her. I’ve been severely struggling with nausea and rib pain in my first trimester, and typical anti nausea remedies and medications aren’t working at all. I can’t eat or keep fluids down and I’m losing weight from starvation. Cannabis has helped my friends, so I want to know if it’s actually safe or not

I tried to, yesterday. I went to the hospital. They did nothing but give me IV drip fluids and refuse to give me medication to help. And then they charged me $102 (healthcare is typically free in my country, so $102 is a lot)
