What does it feel like to be a psychopath?

i would say sociopath like to manipulate everyone. think everyone apart from them are stupid. like to take. think that they are very beautiful (probably true). materialistic. hate the legal system (understandingly). hate the law. hate being told what to do so can't keep a job as they will argue with their boss who is below them (probably true). i think they sometime lack empathy depending on their upbringing. i know some people who were diagnosed sosiopaths and had a lot of emapthy. they even cried about something that happened to someone else and they seemed to mean it. i think psychopaths actualy lack empathy and have never experienced love. they can't understand it i think to them others act like evil people and have weird reactions but because they have no empathy and can't understand why they find other humains annoying and hard to understand. i am guessing thats why some kill people because to them they are already dead but still hard to control as they are moving about and acting weird.

They have no emotional empathy. They do have cognitive empathy. Their amygdela and frontal X of the brain are not functioning. But there are different levels to psychopathy. It is something you are born with. It is called ASPD version 1 in psychology. Version 2 is what Hollywood calls sociopathy. I'd say psychopathy is very different from sociopath and narcissism.

What it "feels" like is hard to say. But they are known to see every conversation as a potential transacation in a way if you get what I mean? They can not feel love for anyone else. It's more of a cold life. A woman who was diagnosed with ASPD version 1 (psychopathy) said she feels like a gas that just fills up space.. just nothing.

About 1 in 50 people are psychopaths. Its commen and most of them are not what Hollywood makes it seam.

There's a spectrum to psychopathy, much like autism. Between 1 in 12 and 1 in 8 people score, shall we say, well above average on that scale. It doesn't "feel" like anything, because we don't process feelings that way. Life is simple. Most decisions are made as the sum of assessed variables. They maybe assessed improperly as to their magnitude. There may be variables unknown or excluded, but dumb shit like "But this will hurt Bobby's feelings if I get the promotion instead of him" aren't considered because fuck Bobby he doesn't pay my mortgage.

Many of us take careers that let us capitalize on our differences. Surgeons (yay), Lawyers (yay when you need us), Politicians (boo... and no wonder), Special Forces (yay), CEO (boo all you want but you like products and services so until you can live fully off grid and make your own clothes, don't be a hypocrite) and Journalists (boo from my side, but YMMV)

You have next to no warm fuzzy feelings of compassion for people and you are impulsive to the point of your own detriment. Without crucial human emotions you will be bored and seek extremes to get excitement.

They don't have empathy at all. They like to use people and manipulate people for their own pleasure. They view other people the same way you'd view an ant on the ground or a toy they can play with and then discard when they're bored.

I graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology 😂😂 we literally studied this. Psychopathy is part of anti social personality disorder.

Also what you said says nothing about manipulation but knowing a few of them that’s true. They don’t really view people as a whole as ants its certain people since they believe some people are better then others. I got first hand experience with them so imma just believe that

That's fine. We can each believe what we want. Technically psychopathy and sociopathy isn't even diagnosed at all. The DSM only contains antisocial personality disorder. Psychopathy isn't used by psychologists or psychiatrists.

Psychopathy in society is only used as a way to differentiate the most extreme cases of antisocial personality disorder.

For the main part they have empathy it’s just different from most people for example it could be they don’t care much about humans and more about animals. They don’t view anyone as equal they believe that some people are better then the rest.
