Be realistic and start slow and work your way up. Don't join one of those stupid fitness bootcamps that push you to the breaking point, that's how people get hurt. You have begin at your level of fitness. Start by eating healthy. Talk to a good personal trainer if you can, but a lot of them are no good. If you know how to swim, that's the best exercise. It doesn't beat up your joints and you can do it even when you're old. It's a full body workout. If you don't like swimming, do a climbing machine, elliptical machine, rowing machine or do real rowing, stair stepper machine or climb actual stairs, walk uphill, hiking, ride bicycles or the exercise bike, treadmill, play soccer or basketball, aerobics, cardio kickboxing, martial arts training, whatever you like. Lifting weights builds strength but you have to do it right. Sick to a lighter weight that you can do like 20 times and you are less likely to get hurt. I know a lot of people who hurt themselves lifting weights like dumb asses.

Really depends on the specific journey. For instance even someone who wants to do similar calisthenics exercises I do may have different goals, strengths, weaknesses, obstacles, proclivities, etc.

But ofc you can't go wrong with fixing a diet to be cleaner. I recommend downloading "cronometer" app & trying to consistently fill in as many good macro & micro nutrient & mineral markers as you can. Eating clean is really so important for feeling good while working out.

Be realistic, start small, choose an activity that you truly enjoy (gym, home workout, running, pilates, yoga, mountain climbing, cycling, etc), also buying cute workout outfits helps a ton lol

Set some realistic goals. Do plenty of research to determine if it is both healthy and realistic. Losing 50 pounds in a month for the senior prom is neither. You want to live a healthier lifestyle. Clean up your diet. Get into an exercise program. You should do both cardio to boost your metabolism ant build endurance and weight training to promote strength and build muscle. You want to go into this as a total lifetime committment.

You have to get into the habit of physically going to the gym. That's what I'm doing now. I actually love exercising and I love how it makes me feel, but I'm not in the habit of making the drive to the gym. I've found reasons to just go to the gym, even if I'm not doing exercise. I am making it part of my routine to be at the gym.

    That's your first step.

To just get started. Don't worry about what mountain to climb, or hoe to climb it, just start climbing. You'll learn what works and what doesn't along the way. You'll try new things. The important thing is to learn to love the process and make it fun.

Look for a package that you can "endure" knowing your strenght. Don't jump in to all "eye opening, promising the world" as those they won't work without a Very Hard work, lenghty work...🤷‍♂️

Smaller behavioral changes last the longest. So whatever is the easiest routine to start. And it needs to be routine. Walking up and down the street before work, for ex.

yes 99% stupidity and 1%brain injury.
      next thing you'll go jogging.
Not only does any fitness exercise provide disappear within the week.
Its painful, boring and takes time.
Time you could use to do something useful, or entertaining.
      Why not a hobby instead?
Outside america noone gives a flying fk abut exercise.
      Because we are SANE.
America think they invented jogging but they are just the only ones who thought it was a good idea
