Has PCOS affected the health of your pregnancy and/or postpartum recovery?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and also recently married. I’ve been struggling with my fertility. Growing up I wanted to have all my children before I was 30 but life rarely goes as planned.

I am about to turn 27 and considering going back to school and getting my associates. But I may not even be able to start my program of choice until spring of 2025 which would leave me starting school the year I turn 28. So if I waited until I finished my program to try for kids I wouldn’t be able to start the inevitably long process of trying to conceive at age 30 at the earliest.

though I realize that in todays world that is not considered old to be having children, I also realize that the older you are you risk the health of your child and yourself during pregnancy and with all of the symptoms and health issues that I experience as a result of my PCOS now it makes me wonder what pregnancy and recovery will look like especially at an older age and potentially a geriatric pregnancy.
