Do you ever feel sleepy in the afternoon?

I woke up at 07:00 am and walked around quite a lot. It’s 12:04 pm and I feel like sleeping a bit.

yeppers, quite often.
In the past week or so I did a whole bunch of stuff like shoveling a billion inches of snow, manhandling the snow blower and we had a company come in to hydro test all of our air bottles from our scba.
So my shoulders got a pretty good workout doing stuff they normally do not do.
So I have one that I've had surgery on, and that one usually never feels 100%, and then my other one was sore.
I'm a side sleeper, so it was very hard to get comfortable and get a good nights sleep.
Couple that with a few early morning calls which is normal, and by afternoon there is usually a safety nap.
Which is not unusual.
Listen to your body, if you are tired, didn't sleep well for whatever reason, take a nap.
Nothing wrong with that.

I worked hard all week, slept little... I'm tired now. there is a payday for the body to catch up.

The only cure for problems and healing, is rest. Cells have busy work to do... fuel them up, let them do it.

Meditation is a quick path to recharge.

I get up at 6 am, hectic mornings, to kick Drama Queen out to school and work. About my noon, I'm already dead tired. On most days, I go for a run during a lunch break, then shower and take a nap or not. Depending on the meeting schedule... in the worst case scenario I take a nap after work about 3 pm.

But I sleep not enough at night. It's the main reason for me

After I eat lunch I have to take a nap. My grown son is the same way.

When we were babies and probably until age 6, we were told to take a nap.
Maybe we were programmed from childhood.🤷🏼‍♀️

I've heard something about how different people have different sort of sleep cycles. Wish I could give more detail than that but I don't remember the data. What I do remember is that for some people, they sleep less at a time, but the result is they need to take a nap in the afternoon. For those people, it's not even healthier to try to force eight hours of sleep at night, or to force themselves to stay awake, it is actually the most healthy for them to sleep some at night and some at noon.

I'm one of those people. I feel by far the most refreshed after only sleeping five hours, but I'll crash if I can't get a nap at noon. Nonetheless, if I try to sleep more at night to mitigate the problem, I end up making it worse because I just feel tired the entire day instead.

Very often. If I could, I'd take afternoon naps all the time. I'm a night owl. I tend to get energized in the morning after I fully wake up (takes me a little while) but then I crash around afternoon and then I get super-energized at night.

I only feel sleepy twice a day and always around the same hours... 10am and 2am not sure why, and it's always been that way... and no matter if I slept well or not either... lol

Always! lol my workout time is 4:00 AM then I workout till 5:00-5:30 sometimes more and then get ready for my day. By 12:39 I’ve already made breakfast, walked my dog with my baby, and started my morning shift of working from home.

Yes, it's mainly because I wake up anywhere from 3:00 am to 4:00am depending on where the jobsite is. By the time it hits 3:00 to 3:30 I get really sleepy, if I have time I take a power nap.

Most days. I get up for work at 2:30 am, work split shifts and usually finish around 5pm. By the time e I get home and have supper, I'm napping on the couch and then it's bed time.
