I probably shouldn't do this but every time she eats something i make a comment which she ignores. Wife is sick of dr grundry. She thinks she is doing great because she eats sugar free. She dislikes Dr grundry even more than Andrew Tate ( who I listen to for marriage advice) and thinks he is full of crap. Especially when he said smoking is ok but any bread or peanut butter is bad and grapes are worse than Hershey bars sugar wise. All dairy except eggs is bad too. According to Dr grundry we can only eat superhard green bananas. they taste so bad and the peel made me sick. My wife said She is sick of my comments about her diet. She is very overweight. She is happy she is under 200 pounds but she shouldn't be. her bmi is at overweight I have stopped intunacy because of her weight gain.

She's still eating smart pop. Sugar free ice cream sugar free fudgesickles sugar free chocolate pudding. Akso tomatoes which are full of lectins.

- Fruit and veg do have natural sugars, but they're way better for you than processed junk. Variety matters.

- Sugar-free doesn't equal healthy - those snacks still have artificial crap she's better without.

- She's making progress losing weight already - praise that! Criticism will only make her feel bad and resent you.

Vegetables & fruits have sugar. But they also have fiber. So the foods glycemic load isn't as high & does not spike blood sugar to dangerous degrees on average. And some vegetables like cabbage have sugars at minuscule levels that our body can't even digest.

Best not to get all nutrition information from one dude considering that there are many official peer reviewed studies that can even find vastly different conclusions.

It's likely not the fruits & vegetables making & keeping her fat. It's most definitely the other easily palatable processed foods that are specifically low volume & high calorie.
