    sugar excess has to go...

I've never had (I don't think I've had) anything gluten-free before... so I wouldn't know about the difference

Refined sugar for sure. It lights up the same parts of your brain as cocaine. However, that depends on your own makeup. If you’re allergic to gluten or have an intolerance, that can lead to depression (as can sugar) which could be a toss up for you.

It’s important to note I wrote refined sugar and not fructose or other forms of natural sugar.

Neither one needs to be taken out of the diet unless an individual has a problem with it.

Sugar makes the world go around. The entire planet would die without it. It doesn't have to be in the form of table sugar, but it's necessary in one form or another. Some people claim there is a difference between different types of sugars, but the difference is minimal. As long as it's not eaten in excess, sugar is just fine.

Gluten is a growing problem, but most people still don't have a problem with it.

No reason to make diet complicated. Buy more food in the produce section, and less of everything else. Keep it simple.

I don’t remember my health class tbh but

and clearly I don’t organize my plates according to the food pyramid

    but yet again, still but-

I’m pretty sure, with hands over my eyes and not looking it up on google… both are necessary? To live well?

    Someone fact check me :>

They’re actually not necessary to live and I love that you’re open to learn! That is, sugar as we think of it (refined) is not necessary.
We should eat fructose, vegetables, and other organics from the earth. We also ought to make sure we are getting vitamin B12. Otherwise, refined sugar and gluten are not necessary:)

@marrk tysm! Yes I had meant sugar, as in natural sugars of: fructose, glucose, and galactose! Sorry I didn’t specify that!

And you’re right! The protein: Gluten isn’t necessary. Knowledge is power ✌️^-^🫶 thanks for the brain stimulations

Unless you have Celiac disease, there really is no reason to eliminate gluten from your diet. Sugar on the other hand is horrible for you... But I am not a doctor, nor a licenced dietitian, so take it with a grain of... sugar

Sugar. And specifically High Fructose Corn Syrup. Though there is definitely something wrong with our wheat though. I honestly think in another 20 years there will be more people with health issues associated with wheat than not.

Well, excess sugar can kill and cause a myriad of problems (heart and kidney disease, diabetes, inflammation, liver disease etc.)

As far as I know gluten is safe, unless you have celiac

Neither… It’s called moderation… a little bit of either won’t kill you… It’s when people go overboard with it that it becomes a problem..

Sugar. Unless you have a gluten allergy, and chances are you don't, then cutting out gluten is at best pointless and unhealthy.

I will say this, however -- carbs receive far too much attention from people who are trying to lose weight, because it's not the carbs you need to worry about -- it's how much physical activity you're engaging in, and how many calories you're burning.

I guess it depends on each person. For me gluten makes me bloat so I would cut on gluten.

I don't eat any type of wheaty bread because it's harder on my stomach. Sugar is like caffeine-it's more addicting and therefore hard to stop.

Processed sugar, unless you have Celiac disease. Some sugars aren't a bad thing, but they should be eaten in moderation.
