What age is acceptable for a breast reduction? Is it age or size? Or even actual/predicted medical problems? Vanity / socializing reasons?

Sooooooo... Came up tonite my in laws cousin is getting a breast reduction at 16... Apparently she has a 34 FF I don't know what that means. I'm no doctor but 16? Seems wrong but again I don't know the whole story...

34FF? That's huge at 16! Well, that's huge at any point; it's can say that with confidence since I'm a 34F.

16 is a tad too young for a reduction. Primarily because breasts USUALLY don't stop developing until around 18. Mine stopped at 20.

This is why it's important to consult multiple doctors and make sure that it's safe to proceed. Could be that she stopped growing and it's safe to proceed. Could be that they're so big for her frame that the procedure is medically necessary even at an earlier age.

Ariel winter from modern family got a breasg reduction from 32F to 34D when she was 17. So your cousin is the next cup size up at FF. My sister got a reduction but the reason she got a reduction was because one was significantly bigger than the other an droopy and she didn't feel comfortable being topless with boys. This is probably the case with your cousin that her boobs aren't attractive. 34ff isn't too big, if she's thin boys will be into her.

16 seems too young unless it's a really obvious medical problem. Definitely too young for any vanity reasons as we are too influenced at that age and want to blend in may not truly appreciate our differences as a good thing.

I am a 36J (I was an M at one point) and have thought about it many times when I was younger, but now at 35 years old, that time has passed, and I am not a fan of surgery.

For breast reduction I would say any age when they're too big is ok because obviously they're not going to get any smaller on their own, and the younger you are the faster you heal. The surgeon would know best.
