Are self defense classes effective?

I think in hindsight with a small humble ego that I have ; it's really you know, promoted by Hollywood films fictionally yet in the real world - a person just calls the cops.
That's surely why cops are always the best to call if there's a brawl, a fight, a robbery, etc

I'm grateful a feature of globalisation - modern globalisation : almost every country on Earth, the developed ones and near developed countries at least, have efficient police forces. Aka law enforcement. That's a positive thing in any country, to have well-funded, well maintained, services like law enforcement, ambulances, fire trucks, police vehicles, etc.

Nope, they are crap. Pick any amateur guy from my MMA gym and he'll wipe the floor with almost every self defense instructor.

No, train MMA and take firearm classes if you want to be able to defend yourself.
