When I am asleep and NOT dreaming... or, equivalently, when I am having surgery with really good anesthesia because it's like being dead but not actually dead. The important point is that you thing and feel NOTHING. It is the ultimate deep sleep. So, you have no pain - mental or physical - and there is no heaven as good as the absence of pain when you were just in it... which I am all the time.
