As predicted sanitizer everywhere & MicroBan™ screens & plastics have created super bugs resistant to drugs. What's your take on sanitizers?

Tbh sanitizers in medical facilities are just so mind numbingly counter productive it defies logic. Why would you create super bugs among the most vulnerable patients?

And This should probably be on my take but, Parents keeping their kids sanitized is child abuse! THEY NEED TO GET DIRTY! They need to develop their OWN effective immune system!! Stop it! Let em get filthy!!

Lastly, FINISH YOUR RX!! Future generations are NOT going to have effective antibiotics if we don't start finish the prescribed regimen!!

Public Sanitizers should be BANNED 🚫 Use soap! It's better!

Sanitizer stations are fine ✅. Embedded in products is not. 🚫

Private use is fine. Lose the public stations & MicroBan™

Here's the way I see it...

This has been known for a very long time. The medical community has tried to address it, but their efforts are minimal.

Parents have become WAY too over protective. That shit started with the hippie generation when they had children of their own. It was part of the larger pattern of social awareness, healthy eating, self help books and spiritualism/mysticism.

Worst of all was the change in children's programming on TV. Suddenly it was unacceptable to be for entertainment. It now had to have some education value.

Kids were not allowed to be kids. They needed to be learning and studying. They needed to play a musical instrument. They needed to be good at sports and get straight A's. Being children and catching a frog in the creek was not part of that.

Then there were the psychologists. They were the ones who thought kids should be passed to the next grade in school even when they didn't learn anything. It might hurt their "self esteem" otherwise. Then 20 years later some genius figured out that if you pass children who don't learn anything, you end up with children who don't learn anything. So the started standardized testing to compensate for it, instead of just going back to what worked.

It's all part of the same thing. Children today are way over protected. Yes, children can get sick and get hurt, even killed. But they have to be allowed to be children. Let them climb a tree as high as they want. If they fall, they might end up in the hospital or dead. But let them do it anyway.

I worked for a K-12 school district. I was hired by a new superintendent that wanted to change things to reflect a culture of excellence. Part of it was that if a student could not display a competency in reading and math they were left back.
Parents were outraged and threatened to sue. The School Committee backed the parents and the Superintendent had to promote everyone.

I only use it when there’s no soap available so I don’t eat with dirty hands but other than that, I don’t continuously use it, but it does serve a purpose at times

It has a place in hospitals and doctors offices but not for everyday use.

I think that there are so many funky bugs floating around doctors offices that I do not want to expose myself to them. I can deal with the supermarket or work but I do not want to be exposed to TB or malaria.
