Is it ok to swallow supplement tablets in half?

I bought some supplement tablets for hair, skin and nails.

I'm ok with taking most pills but these ones are quite long and don't want them to get stuck in my throat.

Can I break these in half?

From a medical standpoint there is absolutely no way to tell. It's an unregulated industry. There is no way to tell if what is on the bottle is actually what's in the pill.. logically it is easy to assume that they do not take the chance of anything being pharmacologically active in there for the most part. That is much lower risk than having negative responses. So I will say it's likely a very high degree of safety. Definitely no greater risk than taking the whole pill. Hope that helps.

For supplements the answer is yes. The only pills you shouldn't cut in half are mediations that are time-released.

Yes, it's not a problem for supplemental pills. Even essential pills like, potassium, blood pressure, steroids, certain antibiotics... can be cut in half. Doctor's actually recommend it for elderly patients.
