It sounds like you have an infection. It's not uncommon following a woman's period. It's good that you're going to see a doctor but there are over the counter products you can take to help until you see a Dr. Ice will work to alleviate pain and swelling. A good product is Monistat. If your not to shy, a pharmacist can also help.

When did it start and were there diet changes, trauma, prolonged sitting, and so on. What were you doing before you noticed it for about 24 hours?

A few days ago, my period had just ended, and as usual, I was experiencing vaginal itching and similar symptoms. Then, my inner labia swelled to the size of a pea and started hurting. Today, a white substance formed at the tip, and the pain increased, and it itches occasionally.

Go to the emergency clinic. If it’s really bad they’ll contact the hospital and let them know what’s going on

I think they make icepack pads that can stick inside your underwear. Might be worth trying that.
