I went to the hospital today and everyone had a big belly, especially men. It's the same in other places too. Every time I go out, I see people's big belly. Why doesn't anyone do sports?
362 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Because people are becoming less active and more lazy , especially with technology advancing and consuming a lot of peoples’ time , everywhere I go , I see people face planted on their phones , people act like it’s the end of the world if their phone breaks or they lost signal , like how are they going to survive without it? . On top of that are food supply is garbage , with all the hormones and shit they inject into our food supply. that is making people gain weight as well. On top of that a lot more people are smoking Marijuana because it’s being legalized and what does Marijuana do? Gives you the munchies lol Welcome to America

It could be worse, we could all be starving to death like in Gaza. 😕

True , it’s just funny how most people in America love to eat , but complain about gaining some weight. Are bodies were designed for survival , but us stupid Americans look at it as a bad thing when really it’s a good thing , I’m not saying being completely obese is ok , but having some flab should be acceptable not dwelled upon.

9 mosports isn't what makes you slim. not eating more calories than you're spending makes you slim. like even the most fit of the fit like for example strongman athletes only eat 4000 calories in a day. that's cause they burn 2000 calories in a day. and burning 2000 calories in a day is absolutely not reasonably achievable for most people that have a full time job. however just eating a burger menu at mc donalds can add 2000 calories to your intake in one meal a day. so that's where obesity comes from. oveating, not the lack of sport.
don't get me wrong. lack of sport generates a whole host of different health issues but obesity is 90% a diet problem.00 Reply
it's because in the 1980s companies started using high fructorse corn syrup and other lovely things in most of our foods that make us addicted and ignore hunger signals. also the relentless lobbying big corps have started doing back around that time to push their highly prorcessed high calorie nutritionally void food on us. combined with us moving and exercising less and less because of the internet. that all together created the obesity epidemic, who is only getting worse and worse

9 moIt's not solely exercise. But the internet hasn't helped with that. Here in the US, it's a processed food industry and fast food industry that sells horrible foods at cheap prices. Generally these foods are engineered around 3 cheap ingredients, salt, fat, and sugar. And when I say engineered, I mean science is actually being applied to make these foods as addictive as possible. It works. People trust that the crap is OK to live on. It's not just obesity. Diabetes and heart disease almost always follow.

9 moPeople eat processed food and are less active than ever.
It all starts when young. Today, many kids spend hours sitting in front of a screen playing video games. Not that many years ago, they would have been outside, running around, playing games with their friends.

9 moWere they young or middle-aged? People likely don't participate in sports as much as before because of their slammed schedules, but the proliferation of junk food "palaces" has made for the surfeit of bloated bellies and run amok rears. (There's seemingly a McDonald's, Tim Horton's, poutine and other fast food place on every corner here in Windsor, thus most of us lasses and lads are, well, chubby, to put it mildly.)
10 Reply608 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Food is getting less healthy, and the cheaper food is the least healthy. As for sports, most people can't do it for a variety of reasons. I was staying in shape by tae kwon do before COVID-19 hit. Now I'm trying to get back in shape, but it's hard to do.
10 ReplyIt's because so many people consume baby cow products in the form of cheese, milk, yoghurt and almost all types of potato crisps/chips (check the ingredients for milk protein) which is a food for baby cows to turn them from 60kg babies into 600kg infants in the space of about 18months. SO quit eating animal stuff unless you're chasing it naked through the forests and eating it raw as nature intended that kind of lifestyle.

9 moI think it's emotional eating. People are miserable in general and they turn to food as one of their few pleasures. They're also ignorant to how dangerous that kind of weight gain is.

9 moWhen I exercise daily I still get belly fat. Same when I eat healthy.
Lifestyle and sleep matter more than what we think.
If I mover more often, and I sleep better, it's when I get slimmer.

Anonymous(45 Plus)9 moThe woman i love Danielle always said you shouldn't talk about other people's bodies and appearances and if you can't say something kind about someone you shouldn't say anything at all because you never know what someone is going through. (Yeah she taught me that)

Opinion Owner9 moThere are people in this world who suffer from eating disorders body dismorphia self esteem images anxiety depression ptsd and many other health related problems. And when you judge someone it effects that person mentally. No one has any right to judge someone on another person's appearance. Have you ever heard of the saying judge not unless you be judged. No one has the right to body shame another person. Danielle the woman i love teaches that to her daughters not to judge other people's appearances. The world could use more kindness and less judgmental attitudes

9 moJunk food’s convenient, screens keep us sedentary, and stress-eating is real. Solution? Small wins: walk more, cook sometimes, and remember—health isn’t ‘all or nothing.’ Progress > perfection. 💪

10 Reply943 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. It's a cultural thing, the things we do, the way we live and the things we eat and drink; The more obese you get, the worse it feels to work out too.
