In the Northern Hemisphere sleeping with your head pointing south, and feet to the north is generally considered the best direction for health and sleep quality, aligning with the Earth's magnetic field to promote deep rest, longevity and wealth.
Placing your head towards the north is discouraged to avoid disruptive sleep, headaches, high blood pressure, and nightmares.
In the Southern Hemisphere the recommendations are reversed, meaning you should avoid pointing your head to the south.
Second Best is placing your head to the east, and this promotes better health, mental clarity, and memory.

Perhaps the magnetism works in mysterious ways?
Perhaps the Earth's Magnetic Field is our next step in our understanding.
