Basically, for me, it's saying that recognizing and overcoming your own flaws, fears, and weaknesses is the first step towards anything else in your life. That is the foundation of true strength in my mind. Without it you will always be vulnerable.

I think there's a lot of different ways to define this. One way is knowing when to say something and when to keep your mouth shut as well as when to take action and when to stand down. Having the fortitude to take action and when to have restraint is maybe another way to say what I'm trying to convey.
