I tried, once, back in the `70's, just to see if I could but, either nothing came of it or the deer ate it before it got more than a couple inches tall.
However, there seems to be something that looks like it growing in my front yard and I never planted it. It's just growing wild in several places. My guess is that, if it IS weed, it's because someone with a bird feeder has weed seed in the mixture, birds ate it and shit in my yard and the seeds started sprouting in my lawn. So far, none have ever gotten more than about an inch tall except for one in the flower bed that I'm allowing to grow just to see what it becomes. Again, so far, it never gets very tall before the deer and bunnies eat it.
I know a few of the local cops so, one of these days, I'll have them come take a look at it to tell me what it is, if they even know. Right now, it's about knee high and has a few tiny yellow flowers at the very top.
Being in a band for 25 years, I've seen loads of it but never used it so, I can't be sure it's what I think it is.

in Ireland you are legally allowed to buy cannabis seeds and grow equipment. However selling it is highly illegal.
