How to treat skin abscess?

I know this place ain't hospital but currently exam season is going on for me and my sister and my sister has a 2 cm diameter abscess on her left calf and going to hospital will disturb the flow of studies.

It is warm to touch and not very hot and my sister doesn't have fever or much pain on that area so I am assuming this can still be cured at home. She says that area just feels kinda lumpy and weird when she is walking but no pain as such unless you press it. Warm compress makes the abscess look small for 5 mins but then it is back to how it was.

My mom says clotrimazole powder and coconut oil paste on the area which actually worked for my all my abscess cases but it kind of made abscess worse for my sister. My dad... he says to spit on it because saliva works apparently but my sister thinks that is gross and won't do that.

Do you have any home remedies? If you ever had abscess that you treated at home, how did you do that?

If it doesn't clear up on it's own if a few day, see the doctor even if it disrupts studies for a short time.

Sanitize a needle with a lighter or rubbing alcohol. Lance the abcess and let it drain. Clean it and apply iodine, then bandage it.
