The 24 hour cycle is dictated by the succession of day and night, where our globe revolves on its axis on its voyage around the sun and where we get the moonlight passing over our heads. Adding more hours to this cycle would eventually unsettle our internal clocks.

24 hours is enough for our daily routines, our professional life, some personal free time and physical rest. Adding more hours won't solve anything.

I've always thought that we should have, somehow... given ourselves 30 hour cycles, but I do have a thing for round numbers... lmao

whether or nor that would be actually helpful though... would still depend on the person, and how much organized they are or they're not...

I always have had great time management skills and got everything done that had to be done that day. And I was a single mom and worked a full time job - 40 hours a week.

I ate my lunch first and went to restaurants where the food was already prepared, so no waiting and saved the rest of my lunch hour running all of my errands. It's amazing how much you can get done in 45 minutes each day. I had an hour for lunch and the other 15 minutes was drive time.

I did my grocery shopping for the entire upcoming week on Friday night. Done!

I did the laundry 🧺 4 loads every Sunday. Done!

Cooked dinner every night after work and the food was already there. All I had to do was cook it. I cleaned up the kitchen as I went along, so there was just our plates and glasses to clean. Done!

Everything else I did on my lunch break.

I think 24 hours can be enough if you prioritize and manage your time wisely.

It’s not about having more hours, but about using the ones you have intentionally, focusing on what matters, minimizing distractions, and balancing work, rest, and personal growth.

Nah, I don't need more hours. What I already have works well for me.

• The ability to prioritize my efforts.
• The ability to let some things fall off the table for a while or forever.
• The ability to delegate some tasks to other people.
• The ability to say "NO".

I think we should have 36-hour days. Over the past 3 or 4 months, I've taken quite a few 36-hour days, mostly because I just can't get done everything I want to in just one 24-hour day! Even 36-hour days are too short!! I usually end up still taking 40-hour days!!

If the daylight cycle fitted the new hours and the human body be a bit stronger to go longer without sleep then hell yeah. Who wouldn't want to do more things in a day. I do understand for those in hardship not wanting more though as the exception

I really suck at organizing my time properly but that is mostly a flaw of mine.
I am almost certain that if there were more hours within a day I still wouldn't be that good at organizing it properly.
I am still working on that flaw.

That would be really hard to accomplish seeing that our 24 hr system is set up to cover one entire rotation of the earth. Present system works well and wouldn't work any better if you all of sudden decided to make two rotations of earth one day.

I sleep for 9 hours and then I can stay away for 21 hours..

It would be convenient for me if day was 30hr long..

I don't get exhausted in 15hr of staying up
