Is refined sugar dangerous?

In limited amounts it's fine. We get plenty of sugar naturally, so there is no need to add more to our diet. But an occasional bowl of ice cream or some cookies are fine.

I'm far more concerned about the vast amounts of corn syrup we get than refined sugar.

Only if it is from GMO plants and/or treated with agricultural poisons.
Aside from that, it can make you fat. And too much over years can lead to diabetes.

Depends how much you eat and what else you are eating to lessen the blow. One tea spoon of ice cream will not kill you. But a life style of restaurant meals might kill you.

The danger isn't necessarily the sugar molecule itself, but rather the speed and quantity at which we consume it today.
