I give RFK jr. a lot of credit for cleaning up his act. He is in amazing shape for a 72 years old and agree that the diet in America is garbage and the root of many chronic health problems. However I find it a little hard to believe that he can be often found in his kitchen cooking up a healthy meal. Maybe if he released a cookbook of his personal favorites I might be a little more inclined to believe it.

One of my tenants was a personal cook. People paid him to buy fresh ingredients, he cooked for them.
More and more restaurants use fresh ingredients- farm to table ingredients to prepare foods.
I am very happy to see that and we have these options.
cooking daily - 3 meals a day is prob not an American coulture anymore. So no he is not cooking daily. lol

I am also very happy he is bring these to the public and making changes … sadly … those on “drugs” will not make changes easily. Corporations will not want to make changes.

Cook 3 times daily?
Nowadays we eat much less. Mostly 2 times a day. But really easy simple foods to prepare.
Weekends - around 11 am hard boiled eggs and a piece of fruit and a cup of tea.
4 pm… a nice meal. Salad and fish. (Some kind of lean protein).
We snack on nuts, fruits, root vegetables. Of course hubby cheats - dark chocolate lol 😂 cookies, and MY ice cream 😂 well yea me too.
We are now much lighter and healthier.
Or go out for brunch. We found local restaurants that only uses fresh, locally grown ingredients. Nice treats.
We worked too hard to slave to eat poorly processed “foods”

We make something big that will yield good leftovers for a few days, I hard boil a bunch of eggs and keep them in the refrigerator for a snack and I usually just have a protein shake for breakfast.

@loveslongnails you know, I bought 2 packs ( lindt extra dark chocolate balls 60% dark) 75 pieces each pack. he ate them in less than 2 months. smh.
yes, we only do 60, 70, 80% dark chocolate. i meant he didn't save me much. he has a little bit of addictive personlaity
while a bag of dark chocolate can last me a yr. lol till it goes bad then i check the pantry... i looked at him, of course he has the guilty look! ... anyway... we eat supper healthy and only foods from nature.

Good. The only way to eat truly healthy is to know your food sources. We get as much as we can from the garden and can grow some kind of food for 10 months out of the year. Any meats are locally sourced, and eggs are all from pasture raised hens. You can really taste the difference, as you know. Try and stick to 70 or 85% chocolate. :)

@loveslongnails - 10 months!! thats awesome! They tasted so good from the garden! Hubby tries, we get some, not a lot. potatoes, sweet postatoes, beans, tomatoes, kale, herbs... all easy, fresh and yummy... we are on the same page with foods :)
do you drink raw milk? or goat milk?
I just had mountain yam and king of bitter tea (Andrographis paniculata) for breakfast lol...
I had some health issues for 2-3 years. after going to multiple Eastern Docs and Western Docs... wasted time and $2k later...
I started to change the way I eat and added gut health foods from nature... I am feelings so good and amazing now!!
When I have time... I will share on GAG... for now... I have to go back to do my report cards...

@loveslongnails After my surgery all of a sudden I am pre diabetic. I have give up Pepsi and dark chocolate. I am trying to lose weight too and I could do without all those extra calories.

If you were drinking Pepsi or Coke on a regular basis, you were drinking 9 teaspoons of sugar with every 12 ounces. If you had two of them a day, that's 24 teaspoons of sugar. Go pour 24 teaspoons of sugar in a glass and look at it. Now imagine eating it. That's why you're pre-diabetic, along with the other specifics of your body, which I don't know.

Giving up the Pepsi is essential; a small piece dark chocolate can be beneficial. Your personal sugar and insulin issues are not simply related to the soda you drank, but the rest of your diet and lack of exercise as well.

I used to cook every single night after work and on weekends for many many years! Really good dinners.

On weekends I cooked a 3 course breakfast every single weekend and then lunch and dinner as well.

Occasionally I have eaten fast food.
