Are slightly crooked teeth a turn-off?

Basically I've been contemplating whether I should get braces for quite some time. Although every time I mention this to my friends or parents, they act surprised "what? your teeth are perfect, I don't see anything wrong with them!" I feel self-conscious at times.

I try to convince myself that my not-so-perfect teeth gives me 'character', but what do you think? Is it a deal-breaker? (I'm not talking about really messed up teeth, just two slightly crooked teeth)

your case really doesn't sound bad to me, but of course my case didn't seem bad to others either. I kept trying to convince myself that my teeth were fine and my friends and family had the same reactions as yours but that never changed my opinions of myself.

in the end how I felt about myself mattered more because I didn't want to live in insecurity regardless of what others said. I got braces a month ago and I've already seen a ton of improvement and I feel a lot better already. if you keep trying to convince yourself theyre fine but deep down it really bothers you, I would fix it.

It depends on how crooked you're talking about. Honestly as long as the teeth aren't yellow and you aren't missing one then I hardly ever notice unless they have the hill billy look going on. A lot of times we tend to pick out the smallest things that we find imperfect on ourselves and make them seem to be a bigger flaw than they really are. Usually these "flaws" are only noticeable to ourselves.

If they REALLY bother you, go ahead and fix them. I personally like teeth with "character".

I think 'perfect' teeth are kind of like plastic surgery, they are fake looking. Slightly imperfect teeth, so long as they aren't going to be a problem for you a few years down the road, are actually disarming, and charming. Don't worry about them, they're actually a plus for real guys who don't look for starlet perfection, and don't WANT starlet perfection...

I don't think its a turnoff at all. When girls have perfectly straight and white teeth it can come across that they try too hard. I'm not bashing straight teeth, but yes, a little crooked is definitely what I prefer :)

Just two crooked teeth should not make you worry at all... It's not like all the attention gets drawn to your teeth, unless they look real crap and you only have like 3 left. Seeing that your case is FAR from that you should be absolutely fine.

Slightely crooked teeth are not a big deal to me.

Some of the cutest smiles I've seen were by girls who had an ever so slight gap between their two front teeth.
