Do you prefer the Summer or Winter Olympics?

I vote summer. Not so much because of what sports are being played, but because it's summer time. I find it more enjoyable to watch when it's sunny outside, for whatever reason. Although I do like hockey a lot, so winter isn't far behind.

Also, the other day I said IDGAF about the Olympics -- I forgot how entertaining they are to watch. :(

That women's table tennis match between the U.S. and China was intense... at first I was honestly wondering why the Chinese girl was a guy. :|

I like them both, but winter has more of my favorite sports, to watch & play, like hockey, skiing, snowboarding, crosscountry, skating. I wish there were more team sports in the winter Olympics, though.

Summer has some sports that are borderline sports. Like ballroom dancing.

I think I'd like the Olympics even better if it wasn't country v. country. That makes it all very nationalistic, which bugs the crap out of me.

So much more to see and yeah the winter is intense but Summer you get the real crowd pleasers.

There's archery, swimming, gymnastics, equestrian, soccer, and loads more :)

Also, people the fan fare is way bigger for the Summer..to the point you feel kinda bad for the winter athletes ..but they know they rock :)

I think they're both almost as interesting as the other, but because Finland is better at winter sports, I pick winter.

Winter Olympics because it gives me something to do and speed skating is always exciting to watch.

Winter Olympics are my persnal fave. I myself and a skier/snowboarder so I love any competition of those types. I also think the bobsledding/luge is great. Hockey is always exciting. Figure skating and speed skating are too! Summer Olympics are also great but there's just less sports I'm interested in.

Summer! I love gymnastics, swimming, and beach volleyball. In the winter, I watch figure skating and speed skating, but's got nothing on the summer games.

Curling is actually an intense sport.. takes great skill, hand eye co-ordination, strategy, endurance, just the right touch... I've tried it.. its very hard...

But I was meaning more, Snowboarding, Hockey, Mogul's, Ariel's, Short Circuit Speed Skating, Snowboard Cross, Bobsled, Luge, Skeleton...

Winter Olympics have sports where you aren't so much risking a "strain" but risking your life...
