I only give presents to my immediate family and close friends, limiting each present to no more than $100.
Far too much... But it is only once a year.
Whats far too much on average?
Well let me try and give you a quick breakdown on presents alone:
My husband and our two children.
My parents.
My two married sisters.
My five nephews.
My in-laws, including a sister in law.
My few very close friends, including those in our village.
Finally, because we have a much bigger house, we always do the hosting for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing day.
Admittedly all the family contribute considerably to this.
I'm sure I've forgotten several other expenses.
PHEW!
Oh god that is a lot presents!! Well it's more or less than 5000?
Enough money to make my sister happy
Is that few hundred , thousands?
No, just good Christmas presents
