Trending & News maybe her bones are bigger, so she can be at the same weight but literally thinner as far as flesh goes.
maybe she's just in better shape,
maybe her limbs are longer.
maybe you shouldn't worry about someone elses body, rather try to establish a healthy life for yourself.
bmi is only an indication, its not at all a precise measurement. for over a decade, doctors told me based on my bmi I shouldn't be walking. I was running 20 miles a day. they could not do that but they can take a chart and point to it and claim it means something.
establish a regular exercise schedule. you'll be healthy. you're not overweight. if you exercise you should be healthy, and toned.
dw, I'm 160cm and 49kg and that's not a normal weight for me, BMI says I'm underweight but I tell ya, there's like 7kgs of fat on my tummy (that's where it likes to go and heaps of it at that). My normal weight should be 42kg. At 42kg I would consider myself slim (everything else is the same except my tummy becomes flat) but that beats out having 7kgs on your tummy - weight that doesn't want to go anywhere else at that point.
Muscle density is one.. how muscular your build is compared to hers, also race comes into play... genetics and stuff.
You are fine. I'm the exact same as you are. Trust me, if you lose weight, you won't be healthy. You could actually stand to gain weight. My doctor tells me to gain weight. If you don't think you're slim, dieting is not the answer. Go work out. You'll gain muscle mass and tone.
I've been called anorexic and bulimic and all those names and I look just like you. You aren't fat.
you are very light... please don't obsess about your weight. it is bad for your self esteem.
Furthermore, its good for women to have a little meat on their legs. It makes the legs look more curvy and attractive.
And I promise you, I am a much better judge of female beauty than you are.
BMI calculators can be inaccurate due to the many differences in individuals that can be a contributing factor to weight. So either you are too hard on yourself and you are slim, or your specific body type isn't accurately portrayed in the BMI calculator you used.

People who have issues with their weight genuinely cannot perceive their own size correctly. You should known this. Major anorexics look at themselves and see a fatty.
Now, I'm not saying you're anorexic. I'm just saying that clearly you cannot objectively judge your own size.
That's why BMI and other measurements work - because they are objective, and don't rely on the persons perceptions.
This has to do with your body type and frame. Everyone is different. Your friend may have a different body type and/or frame size than you.
You might have a really small frame, so you will be able to be at a lower weight and still be healthy. BMI is only a rough guideline, there are many exceptions. Some people who are athletes register as obese on the BMI scale.
Everyone carries their fat differently.
Clearly, yours deposits itself on your legs and arms.
Hers probably sits on her breasts, buttocks, and hips.
You'll have to lower you body fat percentage to achieve desirable results.
Have you tried strength training?
You're skinny fat and need to tone up
