How do you see the glass of water?

Question

This is a question of -isms as you already guessed and involves the 3 major state of minds: pessimism, realism and optimism which you already know but I'm wasting space generously...

So if there is a glass of water how do you see it?

i'd say if you mean in terms of what I would say if someone asked me without me giving a second thought to the answer, I'd say the glass is half full. That's just a lot easier to say than half empty. Full you say with one fell swoop. Empty you have to pronounce. It actually takes longer to say. It has nothing to do with pessimism or optimism for me. If you said straight out, are you a pessimist or an optimist, I'd say pessimist all the way, but I'm working on it.

Whether or not the glass is half empty or half full is not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact. Lab tests could determine whether the glass was at one time full and then partially emptied, or was empty and only filled halfway. However, on a metaphorical level, I've always been one to assume the glass is half full...of poison!

Regarding my life and my situations - the glass is definitely half empty, if not completely empty, haha!

Regarding other people's lives and situations - I see the glass as half full.

Basically, pessimistic about what happens to me; optimistic about what happens to others.

I voted A. I am generally more pessimistic than optimistic. I am working on it though.

None of your answers are correct. The correct answer is that the glass is always full. Whether it be filled with water (liquid) or air or a combination of both. There is always something in it.
