1. Over-watering

Some think that the more you water your plants, the better they will grow. But that's wrong. Every plant needs different amount of water.

2. Not considering climate

The climate where you live plays an important factor on growing plants as some like hot and some like cold weather.

3. Not knowing the right time to seed

Every plant has different time to seed. If you don't consider that time while seeding then you won't get good results.

4. Overfertilization

Just like watering, every plant needs different amount of fertilizer and also the kind of fertilizer changes plant to plant.

5. Killing all the bugs

Have a balance between good and bad bugs.

6. Not having enough space

They need air circulation and sunlight.

These sound like the mistakes I made before killing my chocolate mint, spearmint, basil and all succulents... LOL Thanks for the take.

Once I was about to kill my basil too and i called my friend who was studying in agriculture engineering department and he told me that it can be because of too much love and he was right after not caring it for a few days it became all green again :D

biggest gardening mistake for me... not having enough time to give adequate attention to my garden

My mistake was I didn't kill enough bugs! I had a whole plot of corn growing in my back garden, and after a major storm nearly destroyed all my plants, the bug life took over, and when it came time to harvest, I took a quick look inside one stalk to make sure they were ready and found that it was infested with aphids. It was absolutely disgusting. I spent an entire 4 months watering and caring for these things only at the last second to not only have a major storm, but bugs kill my plants. Haven't grown corn since.
