Would you watch/read a completely original story of superhero characters in the genre of the Batman in these pictures? What genre is that, Steelpunk? Castlepunk? Something else?

So, like Cuchulainn? Or Beowulf? Well, I suppose they're hardly medieval. Like Robin Hood? I heard (and I don't know if it's true) that that Robin Hood movie Ridley Scott did a while ago was originally written with the Sheriff of Nottingham as the main character, investigating a murder that Robin Hood (here more of a jackass, but not a murderer), using actual eleventh century detective techniques. Then Scott got involved and said "What's all this stuff doing in my Robin Hood movie?", and made it just like every other one (save for some controversy about breast size on the poster; I guess that's unique to it).

But it's definitely an interesting idea, and far more plausible if done back then than today. (That's actually the reason why White Wolf ended the old World of Darkness; modern technology made it functionally impossible to hide in the aughts things that wouldn't've been that hard to cover up even in the '90's.

There is a movie of Batman set in the Victorian Era where he catches Jack the Ripper.. I actually liked that movie.. I think there's also a Batman movie where he and Robin are Samurai.. LOL.. I didn't watch that one yet.. But would definitely watch that one in the second picture, the get up looks cold..

I knew about the samurai one, but I thought it was only the Sherlock Holmes movie where he cathes Jack the Ripper 🤔 Batman is based off Sherlock anyway though, so I can see them making Batman do it too. Sounds cool.

Yes, when I saw that high fantasy art, I could see Batman having a Bat-dragon instead of Batmobile, Batcopter, Batplane, etc. Maybe he uses anti-magic armor and weapons against his villains who are different kinds of sorcerors and magical creatures or something.

Aw yeah it's called Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.. It's one of those DC Animated movies.. And that makes sense that he is based on Sherlock.. LOL..

And yeah that would pretty crazy.. Seeing the Joker, or Two Face, and the Riddler in a Medieval setting..

Yeah, it sounds epic. I wish they'd give us more crestive stuff like that than the same thing over and over in movies. Either way, I'd like to use it for my own fiction somehow

Most definitely.. I remember that I never checked it out though.. Seems kinda weird since TMNT doesn't totally take itself seriously with them being anthropomorphic martial art mastering turtles in all.. 😂.. Whereas you can take Batman completely seriously..

Yeah, maybe they should make some more Batman anime.. A mini series with some crazy animation.. I would love that.. But yeah that definitely sounds like an interesting idea..
