As an intellectually curious individual with a passion for both mental and physical pursuits, my hobbies reflect my diverse interests and my desire to maintain a balanced lifestyle. I'm drawn to activities that engage my mind, such as staying informed about current events and business news by watching CNBC and Bloomberg TV. I also enjoy surfing the internet and conducting academic research, which allows me to explore complex subjects and expand my knowledge.

In addition to mental stimulation, I recognise the importance of physical well-being. Running, gym workouts, and walking in the woods not only keep me fit but also provide a sense of peace and connection with nature. I appreciate the outdoors and find sightseeing and traveling to new places to be enriching experiences.

My artistic side is expressed through my love for music, which serves as a source of relaxation and emotional nourishment. Furthermore, I enjoy watching movies and TV series, immersing myself in storytelling and entertainment.

As a competitive yet friendly person, I enjoy playing scrabble and challenging my language skills. While most of my hobbies are solo pursuits, I'm open to team-based activities as long as they involve a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Lastly, I take pride in honing my practical skills, such as cooking. Experimenting with new recipes and perfecting my culinary techniques brings me joy and satisfaction.

In no particular order: fishing/fishing gear/lure making, stereo gear, photography and camera gear, playing guitar and guitar gear, car mechanics and restoration, listening to/collecting/discovering new music on YouTube, cooking/baking, gardening, boardgames, watches and horology (watchmaking/repair), coin and baseball card collecting (very small collections)... that's all I can think of for now.

I have several other interests though, including: walking, hiking, backpacking, camping, canoeing/kayaking, bicycling and bicycles, baseball, hockey, looking at/studying maps (mostly Google Maps), weather data, homesteading, tiny homes and tiny home design, as well as researching/studying all the above.

basketball is pretty fun. I need to watch more of those tbh. Love the court energy and the shared love for that sport. Seems to be more heroic than other sports- meaning so many fans know basketball names, more than any other athlete of other sports, I feel.
