Yes!
Want to race? lol - 2 mo
And that looks like a bad place to stand haha

Not at those speeds, that's completely insane. I did several kart races, which was fun and still within reason. We used to joke about bicycle and motorcycle racers that they better have an organ donor card, but when someone crashes with 300 km/h, what's even the point of opening the racesuit, it's all mush anyway. :-o

Karts does sound like fun.
At that speed the rider just explodes. Yikes
My great grandfather used to race those original wooden race cars.

I might not try anything if I knew I couldn't fail. That sounds extremely boring, like playing a video game on invincibility mode. It's knowing I can fail that usually makes me want to try something.

It would make jumping out a plane failsafe, but never boring lol
- 2 mo
That actually makes it less interest to me as one into sky-dividing! Currently I'm only at the tandem jump stage though. I need more training to do solo jumps but it's not the fear of failing that prevents me from doing solo jumps but the prerequisite for more training and a respect for social order (not fear of breaking the law and being punished as far as I can tell but a respect for the rules in this particular case since I can see it becoming counter-productive if too many people violate them) that prevents me.

* less interesting, sorry

Something I was thinking maybe from a different angle (got a bit thrown off by the bicycle picture) is that I would like to come up with more efficient sources of alternative energy if I knew I wouldn't fail, for example, or develop a cure for cancer. I couldn't lack even the scientific knowledge to do this so it didn't occur to me as something to even think of trying (I would estimate 0% chance of success right now given my lack of knowledge and resources). Those types of things I might try where I estimated a 0% chance of success. Usually if I estimate over a 0% chance of success, I end up trying it if the cost of failure isn't too high or the chance of success is pretty high.
