🎹The arts are so undervalued I feel.😔 I learned how to play the piano as a child. But I am mostly a singer in choir and chorus.🎶 Soprano voice.🎵

But I've always wanted to play the violin.🎻🌹

I can play by ear on the piano a little, but I am slow reading notes, so I wouldn't say I play. I enjoy singing, but I've never had lessons so no idea if I'm any good. I love The Piano Guys and Celtic Woman music. Two Steps From Hell has some pretty amazing songs. A couple favorites are Heart of Courage and Promise (without the vocals).

I melt over piano. Pretty much if a guy plays the piano I'm halfway in love, ha!

4 years of piano when a kid, a year of guitar in late 60's, 3 years of organ under a TV station staff organist just before I got married, a touch of drums to keep up with my grandson.

Mostly old standards on the organ, which I find easier to play (than on the piano) since the bass and rhythm is split between the left hand and foot, rather than have the left hand bouncing around in cadence. When I got married and really had to quit the lessons, I was just at the point of starting to do my own arrangements. There were several chord progressions that were so universally used that it became rather reflexive that I would just jot them down on most of the songs right off the bat. Now, I use a copy of the Theme from MacGyver as my "test piece" to see how well my small motor function is doing with my hand/mind connection, since I am losing some feeling in my LH pinky and have to play strictly my "muscle memory" at times. I DID try to play a trumpet once- never again.
