I really like the first one from the looks of it. If I guess correctly, the first tent is a bell tent. If anyone knows better than me, let me know.

I have used both of these styles of tats I like them both. The one at the top is basically sealed around all the edges except for the entrance. The one on the bottom has a nice has a fantastic floor system which has some nice walls. You can put insulation on both walls and they both hold heat in the tent. They both protect you from the elements.
Heya, good to see ya commenting on this.
I agree, they are both looking like they bring their unique utility/advantage.
To me it seems that the top one is more fancy and better looking and that being inside feels actually cozy and welcoming and the entrance makes it look like a window from the inside.
The bottom one looks like a simpler design made for conveniently maximizing space utility.
Now. If I were to camp in a tropical country, where temperatures reach pretty high, I will need insulation to repel incoming heat though. Got any ideas?
The first is a ultramodern reinterpretation of a Mongolian Stepps 'Yurt'

The top one is called a yurt and the bottom is a framed cabin tent
Are Yurts more like these Mongolian huts though?
