Well I hate the fact that none of the major services, as far as I know, allows you to upload ripped CDs to your music library. Amazon did Yeats ago but no longer does. It's a great thing to have and if anyone knows f a service that allows that I would love to hear. I stuck with CDs for quite a while because the fidelity is so much better than streaming services. There are a few that offer "lossless" as an option which unlike the regular streaming services has no compression. When you compress music you cut off quite a bit of bass and treble. For everyday stuff it's bearable but if you are an audiophile than compression is a synonym for evil. None of the playback will ever be at vinyl LPs for fidelity but the tradeoffs are enormous. I use a 12 speaker Sonos setup at home and Bluetooth lossless files from Amazon. I would think that Spotify and Apple have similar options. The apple music i have I use the settings for highest fidelity and then stream at whatever the least compressed that is offered
Best? I can listen to whatever I want, whenever I want.
Worst? I have to pay a monthly fee 😂
The best part of music streaming services is the endless access to a huge variety of music anytime, anywhere, just like exploring a vast game world. 🎧 It's convenient and helps you discover new artists and genres easily. However, the downside is you don't own the music files, and sometimes artists might not get fair compensation. But just like balancing gaming and life, it's important to balance your music sources too.
