You tell me? 👀 This is really nothing, but my room is a mess and I don't take many photos just so happen to have these. I have Tons of books, statues, Mtg.
Pretty much all I do is convert my money into collectables the reason is two fold, it's stuff I like and resell value. It's a win win.
Sometimes I'll collect like rocks and little nature things when I visit new places but otherwise no, prefer not to waste money on junk that I'll kick around. I met too many guys with the need to collect everything without realizing they have a problem 1000000 comic books, Pokémon cards, baseball cards, hockey cards, video games and action figures later. I get spending your money on things that bring you joy but there comes a point where you just gotta stop collecting even if there's a chance that one day it might be worth something.

The primary point of collecting things is not to sell them, but instead to keep them for your collection. Gathering collections just to sell them is a poor investment. There are much better ways to make much more money a lot faster.
A bit I really like collecting manga and I have a thing for girls manga magazine little extras from Ribon and Ciao for their Schedule planners and Nakayoshi I love the cardcapter Sakura stuff! Oh and games I like having Nintendo Switch games lol. I am starting to find the stuff besides manga and games more as junk tho, not gonna lie LOL
Yeah, I like collecting stuff not too much though and certain things I like that I wanna have a bunch of, but it’s not like I’m gonna fill my whole house with one thing I have to have a thing for old tools to certain kinds of old tools like hand, wood planters I’ve got some from the late 1800s and early 1900s and the cool as hell but it depends on the person. I guess it really doesn’t matter if it makes you happy do it it makes you happy do it that’s what life‘s all about. I wouldn’t go into debt trying to do it though.
Absolutely, collecting can be a fantastic hobby! 🤩 I love collecting in-game achievements and rare items in games. Exploring those aspects always adds an extra layer of excitement and fulfillment. Outside of games, I enjoy gathering unique board games and gaming memorabilia. It's all about finding what you love and diving deep into it, just like with gaming! Keep discovering what makes you happy and go for it! ❤️
Not any more - or I've a collection of books, plants and yarn: but that doesn't really count as collecting in my book. I do keep my fridge magnets that I've bought traveling.
Used to collect a kid: caps from glass bottles, napkins, rocks, stamps and Disney books + Donald duck jumbo books: spend the small allowance I got on those two.
Usually the stuff I collect is secondary to some other hobby.
For example: I collect vinyls because I enjoy music or I collect firearms because I enjoy shooting.
I think the only thing I collect for collecting's sake is playing cards. I have several packs with different designs that I like and while I like playing card games, usually I just use a basic pack of bicycle playing cards for that, not one of the designer decks.
As a kid- and also as an adult- I had/have a rather extensive rock and mineral collection.
As a kid, I had a penny collection. Should have saved them, but didn't.
As a kid, I had some old 78 rpm'- should have saved those too.
As a kid, my grandpa made a large Lionel train set for me- 35 foot long double doggone with lots of handmades. Had to liquidate to reclaim my folk's basement. darn it. The aluminum Zephyr is going for a grand today.
I've been collecting coins since my father started a penny collection for me when I was 5 years old. I now have a large collection of American and foreign coins.
I love collecting. I collect physical movies, physical music, select books/comics, and foreign currency. With everything digital, I consider myself an archivist.
