Where do you stay while you build that deck and patio? Thats a whole day of work for two people. When you leave, thats a whole day a of work to deconstruct, unless its your own property. Plus you’re going to pay a bit of extra taxes on that “tool shed” or “guest house-guest accommodation dwelling”

My parents have taken us glamping regularly when we were kids.

Now, my husband, our pets & I go glamping a lot more than we did when we were kids.

We have a Class A luxury RV, a rugged Class B all-terrain RV and an Airstream trailer RV for all types glamping.

My then-wife and family used to go camping with her mother, who had a fancy mobile home permanently set up at a campgrounds. Wife, her mother, and our daughter always slept in the heated mobile home, while I and my two sons slept outdoors in the cool tent.

I would call that glamping for the ladies, camping for us guys.

I done it a few times with friends’ i honestly didn’t feel like I was camping though , it kind of took the excitement of traditional camping away , we still had fun , but I prefer the old school way

Did it with family once

The owner was some yuppie selling bits of 'farmyard shite' as firewood so my dad did as any proper countryman would bought a saw and a hatchet and sourced his own wood all week

I still recall the branch that turned out to be a dead 30 foot tree and him using the picnic benches as a saw horse

Nah. I prefer roughing it so that I really appreciate getting home and taking a shower. Having someone else cut your firewood and prep your food and bed doesn't make me feel like I accomplished anything.

I have. My father has a clamping site set up with small very cheap cabins and a group sauna and jacuzzi by a lake. It's usually couples coming for a cheap dirty weekend.

If you are indoors then it is not camping…. That is just a sleepover with a view…. lol  They have been remodeling the state parks and campgrounds here in Louisiana to provide those amenities.
