Nintendo was always the cheaper less powerful system but now there new system is more on par with PS and Microsoft so the new system is far more expensive.
Do you think we are heading for $100 games by the end of the decade?
I have no idea I guess it le because people are willing to pay for it in France the game the first 2 weeks have a big réduction then after they get their full Price personally I buy my favorite in the beguning during the sales and the others I wait for them to become cheap as second hand if not I just don’t buy it Even second hand have become very expensive before we could find game flr 5 euros now it’s genrally around 25 euros as second hands, it’s really crazy and annoying.
‘but i guess most people are willing to pay for them and Even the worst are micro transaction inside the game this is the stuff i hate the most
The New assassin’s creed games I bouché it but I haven’t begin to play it but I Will begin to play this weeks ( i was reading the new hunger games books both came out the same days)
I think it would be a great game I liked them all so far and it was not too expensive because it was on sales
Yes there's Syria, Paris, Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome, etc...), Egypt, Greece, Japan, etc... It's the setting and historical aspect I love the most about those games, it would be good if they were others games similar but I haven't be able to sound similar games at all in all the years of searching I play them since they started to get out.
I mean like a full scenario, I prefer games with scenario generally.
My sister told me it was very hard yes, I think she played them or her boyfriend did but when I asked them she told me they were no scenario and it was just combat boss very hard. I don't think I play good enough for them. I love paying and I play since I'm a child but no sure if I would be able to finish it
Interesting.
I also like history and games.
I remember reading that when Notre Dame was being repaired they used assassins creed to see what the interior looked like because it was created in the game perfectly.
Okay I see what you mean, these games have a lot of fighting but there is also a lot of exploring and a variety of areas.
They are hard but after dying 100 times you eventually get better.
I love history too it was my favorite subject with foreign language (because we also studied foreign culture).
Yes they did, they also put the game for free, apparently it really helped them to have but I wonder how is it possible for a video games to have more information about such a historical batiment while our own historian and such did not know?
This is good then
It's sure the longer you play it the better you become for sure, as a child I played Tekken 6 and I died so many time on a niveau it got me crazy but eventually I was able to successfully pass it and I never died after it
We are already there with the idea of collectors editions. People have shown they are willing to drop that kind of money in the past (I'm guilty of this myself) so of course they are willing to start charging that much as a base soon.
What bugs me is that it's the same price for a digital purchase when there are no disc's or booklets needing to be printed. Not like the booklets contain the info the old school Nintendo ones did anyway. They will eventually hit a price point we won't pay en masse and have to settle on a price point.
That time may be coming with how the market is going to play out with the current presidency pushing us to a recession in a damn hurry. We will see though.
Maybe Intendo. Because I remember 15, 20 years ago, the more popular and high demand games like Halo and GTA, also cost that much.
$80 for a game sounds normal to me, but I agree the price for the consul seems a little high.
But EVERYTHING is more expensive now, so it makes complete sense that video games are too.
It's interesting Nintendo priced Tears of the Kingdom at $70 for Switch. Then they announced Mario Kart World at $80 for Switch 2 and Donkey Kong at $70.
Video games are becoming more expensive due to several factors. The cost of game development has increased significantly, with higher expectations for graphics, gameplay, and technology. Inflation and production costs also contribute to the price hike. As gaming hardware evolves, like the new Nintendo Switch 2, the costs reflect these advancements. By the end of the decade, if these trends continue, it's possible that some games could reach $100. 🎮💸

and this is before tariffs so...
Because of all the idiots that buy them. As long as people pay, they'll keep charging
I think gta will definitely be $100 now 😒
I feel bad for kids. Imagine trying to convince your parents to drop 80-90 on a game
Wait until Trump's tariffs kick in.
You don't understand inflation?
It is unfair
