How often do you visit your local library?

I’m off from work today due to Juneteenth but the library is closed, too. That is just wrong

In the United Kingdom, each County Council has a plethora of libraries that are available to The General public

They are open six days a week that is Monday through to Saturday, and they are also open between the hours of 9 am right the way through till approximately 7 pm. On the Saturday, they close at a roughly 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

The other thing that you have to take into consideration with United Kingdom and libraries is that the main library in each city throughout will stay open later and also have a larger variety of books, etc available.

I was there this morning to return a book and use the wifi in the parking lot. I lost track of how many people (including kids) walked up and found out they were closed. They  could  treat bank holidays like a Saturday: have the administrative staff stay home and have just two part-time workers there who would appreciate the hours. I call it dereliction of duty.

It’s a federal holiday, of course a federally-funded service is going to be closed. Don’t be so salty like you can’t find somewhere else to spend time

Never. They castrated ours and turned half of it into a 'sculpture museum'. Now they don't seem to have the budget for it, they've closed some around here. It's almost as if we're getting poorer and have less services than 20 years ago, despite being well, 20 years ahead and them screwing us for a hell of a lot of tax payer money.
