Do you prefer streaming over cable?

With streaming, you have to have multiple services generally to see your favorite movies or shows, but depending on how many you have, it might be cheaper than cable. With cable, though, you can generally get all your favorite shows and DVR them to watch at your own leisure, but it might be more expensive overall. You also can generally pay more and get specific channels or things like the NFL or MLB products that you can't always get with streaming sites.

So which do you prefer over the other. If you have both, it's fine (I personally do have both even though I also dont watch TV, but my wife does, and so we have it) just pick which one you like better.

The big advantage of cable is DVR. Once you've recorded it you can't lose access, where even if you download to watch later on streaming if it's taken off the service you lose the ability to play it back.

Even Amazon Prime, once you let your Prime membership lapse, stops you watching shows or movies you've actually "purchased" - which means you don't actually OWN the purchase.

My personal preference is to buy the DVD or Blu-ray collection of a series or movie. That way I don't need a fucking subscription to watch a damn thing.

I think I used cable one time, in one flat, when a previous tenant apparently forgot to terminate their contract lol. It was in the 2000s. After that, I used the second hand market to buy DVDs of shows that interested me. When DVD went out of fashion I switched to torrents, then anti-torrent laws showed up so I switched to direct download. Then I started streaming everything from pirate sites. This is still the method I'm using to watch anything because chaining multiple monthly subscriptions isn't my thing at all lol

Yes. It has evolved to the point that the networks and cable are 150 channels of nothing 24X7 and all decent content is flowing through streaming services. Stuff changes.

No, every time my cable bill goes up I look into getting a bunch of streaming channels. BEsides my wife having to call me if she wants to change the channel you really do not save much money

I go for free satellite with a DVR, and occasional free streaming. That's too much TV for me to cope with anyway!
