Did/Do you like coloring?

Just a dreamy question for a dreamy, rainy Sunday evening.
When I was little I loved coloring 'cuz I just liked using all the different pretty colors to see what masterpiece I could come up with. I made lots of "Happy Little Accidents". 😊

And sometimes when I watch my nieces, I have fun coloring with them, tho they seem much more concerned with staying inside the lines then I ever was at their age. I mean, who needs lines when you have walls? (Mom wasn't very happy) 😳

And also I found this really cool adult coloring book online. Not that I would actually order it but it looks really cool and fun. But I might be on dope. 🤣

So, anyways, I ask , Did/Do you like coloring?

I don't think I ever really got into this or if I did I can't remember it. I was more into playing with toy soldiers and blocks than anything else. I would build elaborate structures of blocks in our living room on the floor and then populate my structure with little toy soldiers that my parents had gotten me. I am told that by the age of four I was reading habitually anything printed that I could get my hands on. I remember that my parents had a large number of Readers digest magazines for some reason and I found them and began reading them. I also recall that there was material in there that no 4-year-old or 5-year-old or whatever age I was should have been reading and yet my parents never took any reading material away from me. That reading habit persists today. I have a huge library and since books are so difficult to store and carry, I now use Kindle reading device and have a pretty insane number of books on Amazon that are available to it. It isn't pretty but it is convenient as hell.

As child I liked it. Now when I want make a painting I make it by myself. I have artistic talent for graphics, paintings and 3D modeling but I don't use it often.
I'm lazy and for me filling with colors some coloring book for adults would be loss of precious resource that is time./

As a little girl. Keeping within the lines taught me the value of conformity and following the rules. You can always spot a future criminal at nursery school by their inability or refusal to do this.

have enjoyed coloring it’s been a while I think patterns mosaics and that type are more for what I lean to and fantasy snails mushrooms fairy’s type stuff now you got me thinking I want to go get some coloring books lol

I didn't mind it but wouldn't go out of my way to color. When we did color in school with crayons, I had to use colored pencils, because I would eat crayons. When we used colored pencils, my friend, Kevin, had to use crayons, because he would eat the pencils. We were also separated, so we wouldn't feed each other.

I used to draw a lot, but it was always "black & white", carbon shading and all that kind of stuff, never with color...

once I got a bit older and more in control of my tendencies, I started to try with some color, and that was more like painting and not just drawing

but coloring books and stuff like that... nope

My parents gave me several coloring books when I was a kid. I had the full 64 Crayola crayon set, and enjoyed coloring... for a few years until I got tired of it.
