1. The clock is an antique making him, in the present, later, in eras. (If a picture had been taken and shown to someone 100 years from now, the clock would be of an earlier era but he, in his present day clothes, would be in late era attire.)
The calendar is a day by day desk calendar and the present date is torn off showing tomorrow's date.
The mirror shows him that everything is perfect to his liking and very timely.

2. The clock, the calendar and the mirror are names of newspapers he is pictured in. The Clock is the late edition, The Calendar is the early edition and The Mirror is present and on time. He's happy that he made it in all three at the same time.

3. His clothes were the latest thing in fashion but early enough that no one else has caught on to that style, yet and he sees this as perfect and on time.
