Ever since I was a little girl, Christmas have always been my favorite holiday. I remember singing Christmas carols with my family, writing letters to Santa and waking up on a Christmas morning finding presents under the tree. As a child, Christmas was magical and it still is even though I'm 20 (lol) but here are some reason why Christmas is my favorite holiday.

1. Christmas makes me feel like a kid again
I know i'm 20 but I have to admit that I literally act like a kid every time Christmas approaches. I would be jumping up and down with so much joy, singing Christmas carols (which annoys everyone in my house), writing letters to Santa, and believing that he will fulfill my wishes while everyone is looking at me like I've lost my mind when i'm only feeling the Christmas spirit. It's like looking at a 5 year old in a grown woman's body. This is the time of the year where i just forget about stressful situations so I can enjoy this wonderful holiday.

2. Decorations
Every year, I would decorate my house and Christmas tree with shining lights, nice ornaments and other Christmas decorations that helps bring out the Christmas spirit in everyone. My siblings don't celebrate Christmas which sucks but my mom and I are always decorating the house and while we decorate, we would talk, sing (the obvious), and watch Christmas movies.

3. Going Christmas shopping
Going Christmas shopping can be a struggle when the lines are so long (Yes, I know it sucks) but it is very exciting. For those of you who love giving gifts, going Christmas shopping is always fun. You get to pick out wonderful gifts for your friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, and family members. I know many people will give me the side eye but you can also have fun picking out your own Christmas gift.

4. Giving gifts
We all love receiving gifts but giving gifts is better than receiving. The are people who give just to receive but when you give with all your heart, you feel happiness from within. Seeing your loved ones happy fills you up with happiness which is the best Christmas gift that anyone can receive besides love. I've noticed that when I give to others, it makes me more happier then receiving.

5. Spending quality time with family and friends
What is Christmas without family and friends? Christmas is about coming together with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Christ. As a Christian, this is really important to me because I get to know the true meaning of Christmas with my family. This helps us bond and become a lot closer. My family and I would spend time talking about topics relating to Christmas, watch Christmas movies, and have a nice time with each other.

6. Eating Delicious food
Mmm, I have to admit that the food is one of my favorite parts about Christmas. Every Christmas, I would wake up seeing my mom in the kitchen preparing the meal and being called to help her out with the food. For Christmas, we always eat Turkey (weird but I like it), baked macaroni, fried rice, mashed potato, and gravy and some nice dessert to end the day.

Christmas is a wonderful holiday to celebrate with your family and friends. It's not about receiving but giving to those who are in need and loved ones that we really care about But most importantly, always remember the true meaning of Christmas.
