Just how soft everything feels. The lights, the mood, the music, even snow (from a distance where I dont have to be in it) all just feel... embracing like landing in a soft pillow.
It's a great feeling to have at the end of a year and then we all celebrate new years and start it over again. It just feels like a collective "catch our breath" moment.
Spending time with family.
Thank you for the mho :)

If I have pick one thing, it's getting together and feasting with friends and/or family in a cozy, cheerfully decorated home.
I couldn't care less about presents.
I also enjoy the whole holiday season thing with lights and decorations in towns, shops and homes.
None of the above, my honest would be spending time with family nephews nieces watching them open their gifts and being able to spend quality time with them because they're so busy with their normal life in school and covid and everything going on. Plus sometimes I like to be able to volunteer after Christmas after spending time with your family and give back to the homeless and try and help make plates of food for them or go around and buy something for someone that's homeless so that they can enjoy their Christmas too not just ours
I miss Christmas dinner with the family. I don't give a damn about gifts.
I have no kids. My niece and nephew (who I adore) are not married, and they have no children. That means that there are no "little ones" running around and anxious for Santa to arrive. I miss that part of Christmas, and nothing else.
Christmas is just a commercial holiday: happy birthday, Jesus... now, take a look at what we have on sale!
I enjoy all of the the Christmas cooking and Christmas baking cookies. I love to see the cookie competition on the food channel. Constructing gingerbread competition as well.
Mexican Christmas food... which is basically, all or most of my relatives gathering for three days or so, and cook as much, it's not just Christmas dinner... but a full on MasterChef competition... all the traditional will be made yes, but then there's the every year new dish... plus all the BBQ grills and pits going full-on... lol
Baking goodies with my kids while listening to Christmas music.
The decorations and the happiness each of your favourite ornaments bring. Memories and all.
from home alone... is this a joke?
my favorite part is giving gifts
I love that too. One of my very few talents is picking perfect gifts.
@dustybiker something we have in common
Eh. I've never really got to celebrate Christmas much, growing up poor in an abusive single-mother household and all. But ALL that stuff sounds great, provided you had a loving family and were middle class and all.
The best thing about Christmas is getting together with family & friends. The food is great to.
Not really doing very much except pig out, laugh at something and nothing, spend it with family. Get tipsy (I'm on cocktail duty this year) and have a little dance. Then crash.
Christmas dinner is my favorite part now that the kids are grown
the lights. one of my best memories as a child was hiding in a sleeping bag in the dark under the lit tree. never felt so at peace.
Food, family, friends, and fun.
although the gift giving is a nice gesture, I hate the shopping part
Nothing I spent past Christmas alone. I’m not married so can’t spend it at my bfs parents house. Only married people with baby’s spend holidays together.
Spending time with family, including watching Christmas movies together.
Overall GIFTS... D&E. I like to give and receive gifts, but what's really interesting is watching others (especially little ones) open their presents.
G. Christmas magic!
It's the time of year when people smile a little more, act a little more friendly, give a little more of themselves. All in the name of peace in earth and goodwill towards men.
My favorite thing about Christmas is when it’s over & things go back to abnormal.
The quiet, the peace, all the sleep and not getting out of bed I do. I would've said helping at a food kitchen but that's something I know I must do out of selfish reasons.
Food and gifts, both giving and receiving alongside drinking of course
Have quality family time and eating food as well. The same obviously apply to Thanksgiving as well.
Being around family, they are all dead now
@sage2021 As far as family that actually cares about me, just my brother. Moms been gone for 24 years, dad for 3, grandma for 12. It's been just him and I celebrating Christmas for few years now. We told my uncle we didn't like the way he treated my grandma when she was dying and he didn't like that too much.
I am happy to know you have a brother. He is your family. Some people don't have anyone at all. Count your blessings. I am pretty much without a family. I have a son I love and miss very much. He's a great guy even with his learning disabilities. I am not well enough to make the car ride to see him. My sister died three years ago. We used to go to her house and she always had a beautiful Christmas dinner for us. Now my neighbor brings food for me for the holidays. Well, Merry Christmas 🎄
@Staximus hello! You give me the impression that on day you might have kids - am I correct? As much as I love children and would want you to some of your own, I would think long and hard on it. The way the world has changed for the worse, and I don't see it getting better, I myself would not bring a child into this violent, crazy world we live in now. Even if you had a child, when it starts school, there are school shootings all the time now. When you have a child, and you are a good, caring father, from the he minute they are born you worry about them and want to protect them, and make sure they are safe. That feeling never stops. My son is 43 now ❤️, and I still have those feelings. I just thought I would give you something to mull over before seriously considering having a child. I wish we were in the old days when life was more normal, don't you? Thank you for the suggestions for visiting my son. I cannot go in a car ride for that long as I have some medical issues stopping me. If you want to talk some more, you can private message me here ok? The very best to you. ☮️🇺🇸🙋♀️🎀🎄🎀
