What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

I know it’s early but I’m so excited for Christmas. It’s my favourite time of the year!

Do you have any Christmas traditions? What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

Where I live in the town the shops open late in the evenings a few nights a week around Christmas time. I love late night shopping when it’s snowy, seeing familiar faces, everyone’s in a great mood because it’s nearly Christmas, stopping for a hot chocolate while shopping, listening to Christmas songs.

I love the food, spending time with family, putting up the decorations, some colleagues at work love Christmas too so we make decorations and put up the tree together.

I just love everything about it, and I want to hear about other people’s experiences or opinions.

I also love the smell of real Christmas trees, or the fake ones when you take them out to put them up. I love making Christmas bakes and seeing my friends. I love getting presents for my little brother (3) and seeing how excited he gets. Christmas jumpers, cosy socks, time off work ☺️

The house I grew up in had a big front window, and it was directly in front of a street light. Every winter, I'd spend a couple of hours sitting in front of it with a cup of hot cocoa, watching the snow fall in the lamplight. I've always found it soothing, and as strange as it sounds, it's been one of the bigger adjustments of Florida.

I guess that's more of a "winter" thing than a "Christmas" one, but my point stands.

Oh, it is. If you can arrange it with a similar light setting, it's really something to see. With the cocoa; that really helps.

I love that everyone is so happy and friendly at Christmas time. Also I have a younger brother, and watching him open his presents on Christmas morning seeing him happy and excited is the best feeling!

Seeing the younger ones so excited is such a nice feeling! My brother is 3 so I get you, I just can’t wait until he’s slightly older and can understand it a bit more

I love playing hide and seek with my nieces and nephews, that is my favourite part of Christmas but they are too old for that now, I knew the boy since he was a few weeks old and I knew the girl ever since she was 2 and now they are around 10 and 11.

Family time, making homemade sugar cookies, drinking eggnog, the food. I love the entire holiday honestly.

Passing out presents is the best part and decorate the Christmas tree with ornaments and a star.
