Father and two sons die in a house fire likely caused by dried up Christmas tree and electrical issues

A father and his two school-aged sons died on Christmas Day when their house caught fire, likely due to a combination of electrical issues and a dry Christmas tree, according to Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Fire Marshal Doug Wilhelm.

"The area of origin was a Christmas tree, so we're not sure if it's because of electric or a dried up old Christmas tree," Wilhelm told CNN Saturday.

"It is with unbearable sorrow that we share with you this Christmas morning the tragic news that the King family, in a house fire early today, lost their father [Eric] and two Richland Elementary School students," the Quakertown Community School District shared in a Facebook post Saturday.

Police and fire were dispatched to the home at 1:22 a. m. Saturday, where all five family members were asleep on the second floor of the home when the fire broke out, Wilhelm said. First responders made numerous attempts to get into the house when they arrived but had a hard time getting in, due to the magnitude of the blaze, the fire marshal said.

Christmas trees are used by millions in many countries. And common sense tells us that cut trees will dry up and be hazardous after an amount of time. So groups around the world repeatedly publish instructions on how to keep the tree from drying up so quickly. adding water to the support at the base will allow the tree to continue to draw moisture for many days, keeping it from becoming a hazard longer. If people follow those instructions, the tree remains relatively safe for a longer period. People should also not place the tree next to a heat source. There are also instructions on using only safe decorations on trees that will have electric lights on them.
Plugging the lights into a socket that already has its limit of electrical connections could overload that outlet or any extension cords used. The fuses or circuit breakers are designed to protect the overall circuit from exceeding its maximum load, but cannot protect things plugged into it that will carry amounts that are lower than the fuses ratings, but still higher than the devices on one outlet carry.
So I picked Answer "E", that it was stupid to suggest an all powerful being was punishing someone who clikely caused their own devastation using unsafe practices.

Tbh I would. Since I would want my creations to live free among there own will than worry about me.
Then again me punishing them could be ageist the idea of free will not that it can ever truly exist, Since I did not ask my creations if they wanted to be created in the first place nor did anyone ask me if i wanted to exist as a everlasting deity.

I'd be disgusted by their behavior and turn away from them. It's weird to celebrate someone. I don't mean don't celebrate something they just did (like get a job promotion or something they just accomplished). But it's weird to celebrate a person.
