my big family decided to stay home due to Covid scare. Kinda glad, so we did our own things. Kept party small. My little sisters in laws flew in from France. So we hosted them all.
they closed out our house as we had to fly out early Sunday.
we are on vacation now… sun and sand… can’t beat an amazing holiday.

I love the whole end of the year gift giving and the winter solstice. It is the point in the year when the short days start to lengthen and the harbinger of spring. It's still cold enough to set out winter crops in the garden and get some winter veggies and harvest ones you put down earlier...

Winter and the season has its own beauty. I love this time of year for that.

Honestly, it felt like it sort of came and went this year, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. My extended family celebrated Christmas about a week early, so the last week hasn't really seemed like anything special aside from religious services, which I also didn't go to.

I'm glad that Christmas day has come and gone, but the holiday lingers on. Christmas is not over until everyone who is on vacation goes home and goes back to work (or school). Let it happen soon!

Cats and a pure Manchester terrier. Smallest dog I’ve ever had and a rockstar. I lost all of my big ones recently. I’ve always had a lot of animals. This is the fewest at one time, it’s a bit odd.

@dustybiker that sounds very nice... I only have my cat Luna, and from time to time she'll pop two to four kittens which I get them adopted timely, other times I foster some kittens from a shelter nearby, till I find families to adopt them as well...

as for the food... lol, I didn't cook it all by myself but my family, relatives and neighbors keep sending me food as that the tradition around here, you share and trade all of the good stuff... lol
