Guys, With Covid still around, Is he giving up on our future some?

Been a couple for nearly 3 years but because of covid going on and whatever, we have yet to get together. We both live in different states and with him having compromising situations and restrictions, it just sounds like on new year's, he was not much into the new year with me. Am I overthinking?

He is giving up.

He is still with you.

He will always be with you but not sure what the future holds with Covid.

I have no idea. You would know better whether he would be at serious risk if he were to catch the virus. But, even if he's at serious risk, then you need to decide whether you want to put up with this stuff. You don't owe him a lifetime of loyalty just because you go back 3 years.

Covid is here to stay, so if he or anyone else is using it as an excuse, that person had better be prepared for a lonely life.
