When i was in jr high school a kid from a different part of town went out rick or treating with my brother and me. The three of us were walking up to a neighbor's door. The neighbor was sitting in a chair at the door with a bowl of candy. While we were approaching the door some older kids out in the street threw some eggs at the door and the guy thought that we did it. He jumped out of the chair and chased us down the street, He was right behind us as we ran behind a neighbor's house.

There was a retaining wall with a 4 foot drop in the back yard. We knew it was there because we used to cut through there all the time and easily jumped off the wall and ran into the woods. The neighbor was not so lucky as we heard him fall off the wall and hit the ground with a big THUD. I still laugh when I think of this.

When I turnt into man-size, I felt that folks wouldn't accept my being a trick or treater no more. So, I decided to get me a trench coat and a wolf mask. I'd go up and ring the door bell and get on my knees so I looks like a little kid. I says in my squeeky kid voice 'trick or treat' and gets all that chocolate, then spring up to my feet. Oh Lord, and just scare the daylights out them white folks.

Too many, I listen to podcasts of scary stories... the kind that make serial killers seem like children stories.

Best ones are told after dark in summer camping trips around the fire. I know pretty typical stereo type but I don't recall all the details.
